WARNING
The bags and bottles should be opened and handled in an inert gas fiow. In air phosphorus
will ignite at about 260℃ or if by struck sparks. Red phosphorus is not so reactive but in air at normal temperature and humidity
it will be oxidized slowly to form phosphine and a mixture of the oxyacids of phosphorus. In it’s pure form it is not considered
to be poisonous. In case of contact flush the skin or eyes immediately with water until medical attention is obtained.
